In today’s fast-paced corporate world, navigating complex, ambiguous challenges is a skill that sets exceptional leaders apart. As the CEO and founder of Lisa Colledge Consulting, I specialize in turning lofty ambitions into actionable, measurable plans that everyone can engage with. This post takes you through what it’s like to work with me, highlighting my approach to solving complex problems, influencing across levels, and driving sustainable cultural change.

My work style - breaking down the complex: I have a passion for making sense of big, messy problems. Projects that others might find too vague or emotional are where I thrive. My ability to deconstruct complexity and create hierarchies helps me see problems from multiple angles, making it easier to chart a path forward. Whether it’s working on the product side or dealing with people-focused challenges, my cross-functional experience gives me the versatility needed to tackle even the most daunting tasks.

The power of influence: influencing without authority is an art I’ve honed over years of leadership. Instead of relying on large teams of direct reports, I find success by acting as a neutral, safe individual whoseonly interest is in the success of the program, and who facilitates trust and open dialogue. My knack for politics and understanding motivation allows me to bridge gaps between teams and lead initiatives that everyone can get behind.

Execution excellence: one of my defining traits is my drive to execute. While many are great at strategy, I have the rare ability to translate vision into actionable steps. This ensures that even the most complex initiatives keep moving forward. For me, there's always a way to take a small step, even in the busiest of times.

Seven quotes that guide my leadership: over the years, I’ve collected quotes that resonate with my leadership philosophy. From "Rule Number One: Don’t Panic!" (Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy) to “Everyone is a genius, but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it’s stupid” (Albert Einstein), each quote reinforces my belief in resilience, creativity, and the power of combining cognitively diverse thinking styles.

My StandOut strengths: according to Marcus Buckingham’s StandOut assessment, I am a "Stimulator", which means I excel at elevating others by focusing on what they do well. As a "Creator" and "Provider”, I am also adept at organizing chaos and giving others a voice, ensuring that they feel empowered to act. These traits align perfectly with my commitment to fostering cognitive inclusion in organizations, a core tenet of my consulting practice.

In closing, if you are ready to bring your ambitious ideas to life, or if your organization needs a fresh, inclusive perspective, let’s collaborate. Together, we can take your goals from ambition to action.

Next theme in my podcast: stay tuned for the upcoming series on DEI is dead, isn’t it?, where I’ll explore why traditional diversity, equity, and inclusion approaches may be outdated, but a new and better way is emerging. I‘’ll release future episodes at the rate of one a week, each Tuesday,

I'm Lisa, and I help leaders create inclusive cultures that embrace all neurostyles. By empowering every team member to contribute at their best, while fostering mental well-being, you will boost innovation, retention, and talent acquisition—leading to enhanced business performance.
